Bella and Edward’s Favorite Blogpost

Posted by Chiui · October 31st, 2009 · Filed under West

Yesterday, I went to the mall with my sister and cousin. My sister treated us to Starbucks, I had to go window shopping for things, etc. I had fun. I don’t really know what’s so fun about it, but you know, it’s one of those times when you do what you usually do but you have extra fun just because you’re doing it again. I don’t know. Do you have those times, too?

Anyway, I found this cool shop called Posters. I don’t know if we have that back in the Philippines (because I don’t usually go around malling in the Philippines). The items are cute (and weird). Not only do they have halloween costumes and posters, but they also have crazy items like these:

  1. A fake human heart. It was packed as if you bought food from the supermarket.
  2. That’s the cover of the box of a coin bank. Me likey!
  3. It’s a Work Trophy. The Ultimate Slacker of The Year Award.
  4. A Happy Divorce card. Lol. I wonder who’s gonna buy this for their ex-partner.

Man, I wasn’t able to take a picture of The Rabbit of Truth and The Handbag of Glory. I died.

Anyway, I also saw this at Magrudy’s:

I really laughed after seeing that. Bella and Edward? You mean the Twilight couple? Wuthering Heights is their favorite book? Really?! I dunno, I haven’t read Twilight yet, but why would they put that on the cover of Wuthering Heights? Lol. Usually I see things like “Winner of the Man Booker Prize” blahblah on the cover and now it’s Bella and Edward’s Favorite Book. Oh dear.

PS: I already answered your questions! Questions:

  1. Did you like a particular item from Posters? What is it? :)
  2. Are you curious about the Handbag of Glory and the Rabbit of Truth?
  3. The Wuthering Heights book: Fail or Win? XD

Self-Introduction

Hi.

I know you come to my blog and read a crapload of stuff, but do you know who I am? I know writing about myself is not enough for you to really really know me. Whatever. I have the About page, but who cares?

  1. I am Chiui dela Cruz.
  2. I am not a good student, daughter or friend.
  3. I am not good.
  4. I am a Christian.
  5. They say I am smart, but in fact I am not.
  6. I like taking pictures even though I am not good at it.
  7. I take pictures because it’s my way of trying to appreciate things. I find it hard to appreciate, that’s why most of the time, I complain.
  8. I am not a happy person, though I may look like a happy person to you.
  9. I don’t like talking a lot when I do not have anything to say. So when you think that I am a shy person because I don’t talk, that probably means A. I don’t like you or B. I find it hard to appreciate you because we don’t share the same interests/you’re not weird and amazing enough. So maybe I need to take a picture of you.
  10. I started teaching myself Korean 2 years ago. I am not yet done, and I am not (yet) proficient in that language.
  11. I am a braggart and I hate it.
  12. I want to be humble so help me God.
  13. I already had a boyfriend. Don’t ask me how many I had.
  14. I name most of my gadgets/possessions.
  15. I don’t like it when people talk to me like I’ve known them for years when we just met minutes ago. I hope they’d at least make it obvious that I don’t know them that much by not talking too much. And give me at least one day to remember their names.
  16. I don’t really like mathematics because I am not good at it. But I was once the best one in Algebra…
  17. I use three passwords to different social networking accounts.
  18. The only games that I love (that are not online games) are The Sims, Plants Vs Zombies, and Cake Mania.
  19. When I am bored I go to Pointlesssites.com.
  20. I love roses because when I was a teenager I thought girls are supposed to love them. So I ended up loving it. I love it the best when it’s all destroyed and dry…
  21. When I watch fireworks, I find it hard to breathe. I think that’s when you use the adjective breath-taking.
  22. My cheeks hurt when I smile for strangers with really unfunny jokes. I hate those situations.
  23. I really have a hard time dealing with strangers.
  24. I also have courtesy problems. I can’t easily interact with the elders. I always think I’m ill-mannered or whatever.
  25. I go emo when it’s my birthday. I tend to expect a lot. Really. And when you ask me if I expect a lot, I will say I don’t. And when this happens, NEVER quote this line from my blog because…
  26. …I hate it when people quote from my blog right to my face. Don’t do that,I find it creepy.
  27. Re-read what you read from this blog. Most of the time people misunderstand what I mean because I am such a bad writer.
  28. Once, when I was really angry (I was grounded-no internet for months), there came an earthquake. Seriously!
  29. I really crush on girls, but I won’t believe that it makes me a bisexual. It hurts me when people ask me if I’m lesbian. I get those questions a lot.
  30. Lastly, I can’t let you go without saying this: I LOVE FIREWORKS. You can’t say you do, too! It’s a different type of loving, and this love of fireworks is just really intense that when I see it at night, I want to go to sleep or lie down in bed to think about something. It means a lot. A LOT. Okay? Hate me if you want to, but they way I love fireworks is really really really really different. And I mean it.

Anything else you want to ask about me? :) Did those things sound scary? I am still a bit nice. I think. So go ahead ask anything. I’m in the mood for answering. :p

In My Field of Paper Flowers

Posted by Chiui · October 26th, 2009 · Filed under Cool story, bro

Once when I went outdoors, I immediately fell in love with tall grasses. They look so peaceful and quiet and light. For some reason, they remind me of Mathieu Ratthe’s short film called Lovefield. I was surprised at its twist. 5 stars for that video!

Things that cheer me up these days?

  1. Fireworks last night
  2. Cans of Canady Dry
  3. Fellowship with fellow Christians
  4. My Korean Bible
  5. The Caveman’s Valentine by George Dawes Green

Just opened a small Photoblog/Q&A blog. Ask me questions here, and check that Q&A blog for some answers.

And no, I don’t feel like using Tumblr.
