The other day, I bought A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess. Some of you, especially the ones who read a lot, probably know about this one. I heard this already had a movie version. Although I really like watching movies, I prefer reading the book version of pieces of classic literature. Um, except the Harry Potter and Twilight series. I prefer watching them so I wouldn’t be too disappointed. Mwehehe.

I finally made time for reading so I grabbed the book and sat down comfortably. I started reading. My seat was comfortable, but when I read the book I found it uncomfortable reading text that I don’t seem to understand. See if you understand this:

I didn’t know that the novel used Nadsat, some Teenage slang that Russians used back then. Fortunately, the internet was able to help me. Whenever I read the book, I occasionally consult this page for Nadsat vocabulary. The novel is really awesome and funny, too bad I find it hard to look at a webpage every now and then just to understand what I’m reading about. Sometimes I just memorize some terms so I could read without looking. Plus, I can’t read before going to sleep because by then I have already turned off my laptop. Honestly, I’m still on page 5- which is a shame since it has already been more than 3 days when I started flipping through its pages. =/

I feel like renewing myself so I’m starting to read as much books as possible. I feel like a page of social networking website which fails to update itself. I have to hit F5 (refresh) or else I will be stuck living a life doing the same things over and over and over and over again.

I finally have a Shelfari account! Reading books is a serious thing for me so bwahaha I am on a social networking site for book lovers :)) I also found this awesome site Bookdepository.co.uk, thanks to Kitty. I saw it after reading her blog entry :3

Ugh. Unfortunately, I am forbidden to order anything online as long I’m here in the Emirates. It’s because we’re leaving soon -_- These books… I shall have them next month :/
