• profileHi, I'm Chiui dela Cruz. I like books, Korean music, Asian languages, cat GIFs, the internet, pasta, lettuce, the smell of coffee and plastic (a.k.a the smell of airplanes), thrift stores, hipster jokes, and coolness.

Christmas 2011

Before anything else, I’d like to say that my Christmas (+New Years) video will be up on the first week of January. Nothing super special, but it’s something I would like to share :3

Last Saturday (Christmas eve), my family stayed at River Rock Casino Resort. It was quite funny because the place is barely even an hour away from our house. We still went anyway because that place is really pretty! My sisters and my mom all went for a swim at the indoor pool (which I never got to see because I didn’t want to leave the cute cute hotel room). We didn’t go to play casino or anything, lol (not even sports betting or checking out sports betting reviews or whatever). All I did there was eat sushi, chocolates and cheese popcorn (3 of my favourite foods). Also, for noche buena, we ate burger and poutine. I didn’t finish the burger because I had no idea my brother bought me something with ham in it. Two churchmates came to visit. They brought us pancit (OH YUM).

Sushi all day.

My brother’s foot, ew.

Christmas morning breakfast. My colour settings were off, sorry.

Other than that, Christmas was pretty normal. Well, wait, not really. I got a few (but cool) presents from my mom and churchmates… so I guess that makes Christmas 2011 pretty great :3

Today, December 27th, I got myself small presents ~lulz~.

First, I got meself a corkboard and a set of pins for it:

Also got mehself razor for eyebrows, for face and for armpits hihihi sssh. Btw, the single pink razor is one meanie. Be careful with the sharp thingamajig. I hurt myself twice with it.

Aaaand you can’t read it (screw the lighting), but this one is Skinfood’s Green Tea Bubble Cleansing Foam. The smell isn’t unique (smells like…soap!), but it does make my face feel cleaner after using~

I got Green Tea cleanser because I heard anything with green tea helps fix redness, etc. Cucumber, too.

~~~
I’ll also post my final list of New Year’s Resolutions on my next post! Enjoy the holidays!
Stuff I Got From The Body Shop
I got loose face powder, liquid foundation, hydrating primer, mascara, red lipstick, tea tree night lotion, pore perfecting serum, shampoo and conditioner, and body milk.
Both of these smell really good!
These I use for my coloured hair. They are pretty decent, but well, I have only tried them once. I’ll give it some time before I could really judge their performance =p
This mascara is by far MY FAVOURITE MASCARA. I don’t really enjoy putting mascara on because they give me some sort of a headache. Before I purchased this, I was using an ELF mascara… it wasn’t really that good but it does its job so I was fine with it. I have tried a Hello Kitty mascara before, but I didn’t find it impressive. That might be because I was a make-up super noob when I used that mascara so I think I should give that one a try again if I get the chance to. Anyway, THIS mascara is really awesome! ~SUPERIOR~! Okay, I might be exaggerating a little =p I like how it gives my lashes more length and if you use it properly, you get this inky lashes look. This mascara is called Big and Curvy mascara. There’s also a water proof one if you like.
I also got a red lipstick. Yay!
The reason why I got these things from The Body Shop is ’cause they have really nice promos this Christmas season. But yeah, the normal prices of their products aren’t that pricey anyway so buying on ANY season is good, too! Yipee!
~
I’m having exams soon so it’s gonna be a really busy week for me… well, kind of. I’ve been writing close-to-personal blog posts lately so I had to make a ~holy holiday haul~ post with pictures ;D
I’m going to be posting moooooooore pictures soon. Just cause I want to take pictures again.
Also, I’m quitting pork. Forevs (I hope).
… and before I go, I got tagged by Phyllz. Woot, woot! Just some Q&A:
How does a song affect your mood or your emotions?
- Sometimes, when a song is really, really well arranged, it can change my mood. If it’s a slow ballad song, I get kind of nostalgic and down or maybe even lovey-dovey. If it’s loud, I get really energetic, etc etc.
Where is the farthest place you’ve gone from where you’re standing now? (a neighboring city maybe)
- Err… Philippines? =p
What’s your favorite color and why?
- My answer to this question keeps changing! I liiiiikeee…. coral. It’s like the colour of falling in love (lol, not gonna explain that).
What’s the perfect weather for you?
- Sunny that you would have to wear sunglasses, but a little bit cold that you would have to wear a cardigan.
What’s the fanciest restaurant you’ve been to?
- I’m not sure about this! Depends on what you mean by fancy, I guess! I usually go to Asian restaurants, but when I hear “fancy” I think wine, classy music, etc, so I don’t know! XD
What’s your fave streetfood?
- UP Los Banos PROVEN. THAT you got to try!
Have you ever performed or had a speech in front of a large crowd? How did it go?
- Yes, many times. I used to participate in elocution contests when I was young, and also, I SING! As far as I know, I’ve never messed up so I think all of them went pretty well.
What was the weirdest/funniest/worst gift you’ve ever received?
- Weirdest gift: chalk holder (for a SINGLE chalk). Funniest gift: white underwear with my name stitched on it (Hi, Genissa). Worst gift: glass (?) rose (?) worth P5.
What are you craving right now?
- Don’t you ever ask me this! XD Haha, I don’t want to think about food!
How would you describe your style?
- Style… like fashion style? I would describe my style as, um… random. Sometimes I dress really girly, sometimes I’m a hippie, sometimes I look professional, sometimes I look really simple, etc. Same with my make-up style.
Who was the last person that made you smile?
- My mom. She said she knows someone who knows Koreans who want to practice English. This means I can practice my Korean skeeeelz.
