Summer In Abu Dhabi

Last week I kept tweeting about how my father got free guest tickets to Summer In Abu Dhabi. We just went there last Friday. Let me share what happened. Through pictures!

So we went in…

We explored a lot til we got tired of “just exploring”. That’s why we entered “Bee Amazed”…

Bee Amazed is like a mini version of that game that you see on Japanese TV show Takeshi’s Castle. There’s a maze and you have to get out. People outside can see how well you’re doing through this TV outside. Anyway, inside, as we find our way out some “Stingers” with sting us with water guns. Yes, I got wet!

We tried the other booths. They’re just okay activities so I didn’t bother taking pictures. LOL. And then I saw the Cello mascot hugging kids.

If you saw the mascots, that means the show is starting! So we stood in line to watch a 5D interactive movie thingy. Similar to Nick Jr’s Hi5, that show on TV. Uh, it’s really cute. The kids looked very happy… but I’m not a kid. But it was still cool because I was liek, “Ahhh so this is how you entertain kids!”

Of course kids need a picture with the actor.

And of course if I saw Cello hugging other kids, she needs to hug my sister, too.

Then we saw another show which is a environmentalist Marvel comic show… for kids of course. I saw Hulk and Ironman. (But he wasn’t Robert Downey, Jr. What a bummer!)

Hulk’s pants are too loose. Caught you, Hulk.

YAY New Yorker Spiderman came. YES he sounded sooooo much like Tobey Maguire, but then AGAIN of course it wasn’t him. Sheesh)

Then you’ll have to swear to Spiderman that you’ll recycle things and help save the world by throwing your trash at the right places. Took a picture of my sister while saying to pledge. I show this to her whenever she mess things up at the house. *evil laugh*

After that, she kept her promise and did what she was told.

Then some random mascot came along. He was walking by himself so it was such an odd scene. He looked lonely so I took a picture of him with my sister. He did a “peace” sign. Being a Native Arab mascot, it was still such an odd scene…

Then we watched him walk away……….alone… and lonely…

I think I had a lot of fun.

Natural Mud Pack

This is the real thing, yo:

As I was translating one of Super Junior’s tweets, I kinda had a problem with the word “Boryeong”. Didn’t know it was a name. And it had a mud fest! LMAO

Apparently it’s one of the activities they do during summer- aside from eating Chicken soup in ginseng during the three hottest days of Korea. Anyway, about this Mud Festival, let me just quote Wikipedia:

The mud is dug up near Boryeong, trucked to the Daecheon beach area, and dumped at a ‘Mud Experience Land’.  The mud is considered rich in minerals and used to manufacture cosmetics.

Mud pack, anyone? Teehee. This 2010, the festival will take place from July 17–25. :) How cool is that. If only I could go there and celebrate as well! And get mud on my face. Darn it.

PS: My 2nd twitter account: [LINK] (1st account is for k-pop fans like moi @pastafairy, I do translations ;) okay!)

Peace.

Robin Hood For President

I watched another movie with my brother and his girlfriend again. Don’t you hate me for being a date pooper? Hahaha. I’m sorry for screwing up their date just by being there with them.

So we watched Robin Hood. We were supposed to watch The Forgotten Ones, but the showtimes were only around 10 pm and 12 am so we just watched it. And I wanted to watch Robin Hood anyway. Lmao.

Oscar Isaac as Prince John

I seriously think that that guy is so handsome! I find him really attractive

About the movie, I find it cool, but it’s not really that stunning. Fight scenes were awesome, but it’s not something I’d go crazy about. And oh, Robin’s leading lady, Marian. She’s awesome, but she’s awkward. I adore women who are strong and able to fight- that’s why I love that Marian girl. I find her awkward because ever since Robin showed up at their house, she acts really kinky and all. Since she’s married and her husband died and she had been waiting for years, she must’ve really felt the need for some sex or something. So it was really awkward because she made it too obvious. Lol.

After watching Robin Hood, we went to a bookstore. I found two equally awesome Paulo Coelho books so I put them in front of me as I was thinking about which one I should buy. It requires deep thinking, y’know. I was in deep, serious-bizniz concentration when two teenieboppers started making loud, annoying noises while they’re taking this “Which Jonas Brother Are You” quiz or something on a tween magazine. They started squealing over the results of their Disney quiz. Well alright, I’m not gonna lie. I do that annoying squealing, too, when I fangirl over K-pop bands, but never do it while I’m inside a bookstore. Respect the people who concentrate on which Paulo Coelho books to buy! Okay, maybe you don’t need to respect me? At least respect the books, man. Respect the freakin’ books. They sit silently on their shelves and then you… nevermind. Just take your Jonas Brothers quiz a little bit silently, please. Or just buy the magazine and get out. And don’t breathe my air. :pissed: I know, I know. I am mean.

So I didn’t buy any Paulo Coelho book out of annoyance. I walked out and dragged my brother to Starbucks instead. It’s been a while since I had a drink there. Ahh heavenly frappe. Join my body….. be my blood….

Also, Robin Hood for president! :ok: Hahaha I’m kidding… I think.
