Howdy!
The other day we went to Ghantoot (an area here in UAE) for an overnight stay at Cassells Ghantoot. The name is really weird especially for Filipinos like me, since the word Ghantoot sounds similar to the Tagalog word for sex. -_-
It’s such a lovely place! I brought my SLR and my point and shoot cam. I haven’t had the SLR pictures developed yet since I still have a few shots left. And I don’t want to post my pictures here because I’ve got really crazy pictures HAHAHA. I’ll just post the SLR photos soon!
T’was really a great experience. We arrived at about 5 PM and it’s still freaking hot! First thing we did was to take pictures on the playground, and then at the beach. Then we ate light dinner at the hotel room before we dipped ourselves into the pool. It was good timing. When we used the pool, nobody else were there except for an old American couple. So it was almost ours. I wanted to go the deepest (lol) part of the pool (about 10 feet?), but the lifeguard wouldn’t let us because he knew I was short. PARTY POOPER!!!! And I wanted to die early >.> LOL KIDDING.
The pool closes at 10, but we still wanted to have more fun. So my sister and I went to the health club, with everyone following us both. We both tried the SAUNA for the first time. LMAO.
You see, my sister is a bit claustrophobic. The sauna was just per cubicle and so we both used just 1 cubicle. We went in, and the Health Club guy closed the door pretty tightly. Then it started to get hot. Really hot.
Sister: I can’t do this…
Me: Come on, just a few more minutes!
Sister: My heart is weak…
Me: What?
Sister: I’m still young… I don’t want to die yet.
Me: Wut the hew you sayin’?
And then I tried putting water on the stony thing. Steam came out like crazy and we couldn’t breathe. As it happened, I was laughing like mad while my sister panicked. ROFL. But then I couldn’t open the door because it was really closed so tightly. We knocked on the other cubicle (My mom was in there).
Me: Ma, a little help here. Couldn’t open the door. Clarisse is panicking.
Sister: *shouts* MAAA!! MAAAAAAA!!
HAHAHAHAHA I SWEAR THAT WAS THE FUNNIEST THING EVER. They opened the door for us and I went out laughing, my face red because of the heat. So we decided to just spend time on the Jacuzzi. Which was so relaxing. I felt like I’m being cooked for someone else’s dinner. I always loved that. Then we got bored so we played every game on the Health Club. They were all free (except the Tennis Wall).
Hurhurhur we raped the air hockey table.
When we decided to go back to the hotel room, I realized that I left my pants on the Health Club. So we went back and got it. But when we were on our way back to the room again.
The hotel gate was locked. WHAT. We were locked outside the gate, we were near the pool. So I burst out laughing again (Yeah I laugh quite a lot). Good thing some guy showed us another way in (which involved a lot of hiding and…loljk). We found out how it was easier to use the shortcut. We always used that way after. LOL
Breakfast was cool, too. A buffet. With nobody else but us and a huge flag of UAE on the wall. It was cool. Made me want to live there.
Who’d think a place with GHANTOOT as its name would be so awesome and lovely and cool? I am amused!
Chinggu!!! I didnt know that you went to UAE.. haha maybe it’s because I havent visited your site in like 1000000000000000 years :-(
I wanna see the pics now.. LOL
sauna is <3 but sometimes not… I prefer jacuzzi though..
Ghantoot seems to be a fun fun fun place..

Oh my gosh the name, its funny! You remind me of ME, I laugh non-stop and loud too (its in the family genes, can’t blame me.) I too also find things amusing even if someone is having the same case as your sister. Oh god. xD *highfives* I want to try the jacuzzi.

Wow! Maybe I should pay Ghantoot a visit! It sounds interesting according to your description.
Now why wouldn’t the lifeguard let you swim the deep part of the pool? Is being short an excuse? =)
LOL@ you and your sister in the sauna! =D I’ve never been in a sauna. Is it really, really hot?

Typical Chi. Tut tut. Ahh who am I kidding? I’d be laughing too if I was you. I’ve never been in small ones. I’ve been in big sauna’s though where lots of people just sit there and all. Gah, right now London is like a Sauna ~.~…

“Chuiu really tells stories in an interesting way.”
(that’s what I told myself when I read this blog post)
Ghantoot. It’s really awkward. I wouldn’t shout it in any way possible. Your day’s adventure is cool and interesting and things seemed to work for you guys.
One funny thing that caught my attention is you and your sister’s sauna-experience. The conversation is funny. I can’t imagine how it really turned out to be since I’ve never been in a sauna before.
